Oh yeah! Field rations for food in WWII and Korea and probably the beginning of Vietnam included litle packs of cigarrettes. I’d heard of people getting lucky strikes in C-rat’s that were so old they were still in the green packaging. Which brings up a question that has been asked but never answerred properly. By the V.A. Some old guys felt that since the Army issued them cigarrettes to smoke the VA should be responsible for a disability payment to kids-now elderly-that had never smoked but started when they were issued cigarrettes. And subsequently developed smoking related diseases.
And of course they say you should have just quit because as everyone in the tobacco industry knows-nicotine is NOT a drug and it is NOT addictive. Right. When the victims are all dead they will admit they were wrong. The men exposed to radiation on the Nuke tests out west and in the South Pacific were found by congress to be deserving of VA disability checks for their cancers and stuff over 20 years ago. And the VA was orderred to pay up immediately. 20+years and counting and still no action. When they are finally all dead the VA will say what a tradjedy that was.

All of the chewing tobacco you can buy commercially is treated with stuff to make it sweet tasting. It has to be twice as hard on your gums and teeth and mouth as real unpoisoned tobacco. A fellow I knew who grew up where they grew tobacco says when he was a kid he’d go out in the tobacco and break off the very top growth of the plant and it was naturally sweet. I’d bet that would be 100 times less apt to cause the degeneration commercially processed chewing tobacco does. Even the old women in tobacco country had their pipes. But they got their tobacco from the plant (and not the processing plant).

“Sexist” turn–its gonna take a lot more than that to offend me. You know I can hold my own. LOL. Anyway Franco, I think the photos you put up of women are nice. They are respectful and highlight the beauty of the female form. Although, some make me envious, I am thankful they aren’t the starved skeletons that I recently saw in a Victoria’s Secret catalog. Honestly those models looked disgusting and I can’t believe men would find them attractive…………

From asking questions or being told I was wrong by someone with a better education who could prove it. Now they are saying DHIMMITUDE or some such word is in the Obama Health Bill, which isn’t Obama’s but Hilary Clintons. From Newsmax and the Glenn Beck frantic freaks come solid information they say is backed by SNOPES that DHIMMITUDE is the fine put on Non-Muslims in countries they have taken over and part of it is in the health bills exemption for Muslims to not have to buy health care and make us pay for theirs. WRONG WRONG WRONG
WRONG! and all you have to do is go to a dictionary and look it up on SNOPES who has the phony letter and blows it apart. DHIMMITUDE is not a word from the Quran. It’s a made up FRENCH word. Made up by a Muslim from Cairo in 1949 after he had moved to FRANCE. It deescribes historical treatment, is not bad, and has nothing to do with the health bill-which if you actually read still has not decided WHAT or WHO or HOW exemptions shall be made.

I’ll bet if you add his years of education with his wifes and his deacons if you added them up and he went back to H.S. for 4 years he could flunk the exams. And still not have a H.S. certificate.

I got ascending Cholangitis in my liver and my gallbladder had to be removed. Pain Meds like Laratabs/Vicodin/anything with APAP (Acetominophen-Tylenol) will soon be modified to contain NO tylenol or taken off the market because it has damaged so many livers it is hard to find a good one for transplants out of the available ones.

Well I stopped responding to Acetaminophen about 10 or 12 years ago, but I do have a stash of ibuprofen I never leave home with out.
